That was SO 27 seconds ago, and 'because I am feeling richer' effect

I wish the legal system and doctor's offices worked at the speed of 4G like ATT but oh well.  These ads annoy me for several reasons.  First, try extracting your cell phone from your face.  If you are that desperate to get information that quickly, then something seems amiss in your 'real' life.  (That is unless you are a stock trader, entering a contest, or buying on Ebay.)  I remember a story a couple of years ago where in an English town they put padding around lamp posts because people were texting and walking into them.  Really?  I would have put a loud siren to scare them back to reality.  The only defense to these types of commercials is that the kid obviously knows math assuming he isn't using an app for that.
Then we have the feeling richer commercials.  Instead of 'driving a car like one owned by a hiphop star', how about 'paid off my child's tuition' or 'made a significant charitable contribution'?  No wonder so many kids (and adults) put so much value on materialistic stuff.

Another school shooting? at Episcopal High School in Florida

It sounds like some guy got fired, got mad, and figured he would kill his 'ex' boss.  I feel so grateful that my children are no longer in school and can only wonder what it will be like for their children.  When my youngest asked for a cell phone, she got one so that she could text me or I could text her if necessary.  Now kids are calling 911?  Maybe the PTA should fund cell phones that have 911 only capacity and hope they pick the right kids/teachers to give them to.  It's sickening to hear these types of stories so often.

Super (expensive and annoying) Tuesday

While I don't want this to be a political blog in any way, shape, or form, it just happens to be "Super Tuesday".  You have to wonder how many starving children in Africa (or better yet, right here in the good old USA) could be fed if those darn Republicans would just pick someone, have the others use their funds for something good instead of annoying ads, etc, and get on with it.  My recommendation would be to put the darn thing on Ebay and wake me the day after the election.  I guess these 'candidates' just need to feed their egos, but enough already! These 'debates' are like a new season of a reality show which I don't watch either.  Thank God for the Comedy Channel!
